Hello Tammy! I am in Charleston WV. We have a cabin at Minnehaha
Springs and go to Watoga often. In fact, I've already hit all the
boxes there and left a little something on our last trip, that as far
as I know no one has found yet. I do have a goal of planting a box on
each trail of the Arboretum associated with the flora that is
labelled. But I plan on walking them all first. I think that a bunch
of boxes in one locale like that makes a nicer trip -- you can just
plan on going to one park and spend all day walking the trails, maybe
even camp out. I also want to go to Ann Bailey's lookout, because
I've never been. We do have pic in the cabin supposed to be a view
from the lookout that was in a newspaper or magazine....

I want to box at Watoga so bad. The first few times I was there we didn't
know about letterboxing. The only time we've been there since was for a
family reunion and every time I wanted to "go for a walk" they had something
else in mind. They do organized games, auctions and such at that family
reunion. I gave up. I wish we were closer to that part of the state. (I
am in Boaz-above Parkersburg, by the Ohio River)
Tammy
PS...We are heading to Charleston this weekend. We are going to the WV
Power game and then tent camping on the field after.

That is neat. I want to letterbox in the Parkersburg area. Some
friends of ours and we are planning on camping out in that area this
fall and hit as many boxes as we can. Are there any good campgrounds
in that area?
Hubby has drill this weekend and then annual training the beginning of
next week. If you are planning on swinging this way to hunt for a few
of the newly planted Charleston boxes maybe we can arrange an exchange.

There are some good boxes in the Parkersburg-Marietta area. Safari Man has
done a wonderful job giving us lots of boxes to find. The first campground
that comes to mind would be Mountwood Park. I've never camped there so I
can't say whether it is a nice campground or not.
I'm not sure what our plans are yet for Charleston. I'll talk to the hubby
and get back to you.

Our daughter vetoed the idea of letterboxing tomorrow due to Corbon Bleu
being at the Charleston Mall. LOL We go to Charleston fairly regular so
I'm sure we can set up an exchange soon. :)
